    "My Mother's Sabbath Days" is a memoir in the same way that Jorge Semprun's "Literature or Life" is a memoir, or Proust's "Remembrance of Things Past." It is an artful recreation of a way of life, that is to say, a work of fiction in the most profound sense, a work that reproduces not only the surface of . The Mother Book women’s prayer group wanted to serve the many moms and moms-to-be in their community. The avenue they chose was a “mother book,” which may serve as a creative outreach idea for a Sabbath School class. They distributed information about the project to the women in the church and invited them to contribute a page.

      Though I know this is a very sensitive topic, I enjoyed this book in the sense that it is a redeeming story. I understand that people are angry about this book, but only half of the book focuses on the mother and father.
